Welcome from the Chair of Governors

Chair of Governors Welcome Letter

As Chair of the Governing Body I would like to welcome you to the Mount Church of England Primary School.

I am proud of the achievements of this school in not only nurturing our pupils to make the best progress possible, but also in recognising that we operate in a diverse local community and building a school culture that reflects that. I am also justifiably proud of our Church links and the additional perspective that gives us in providing a well rounded education for our pupils.

Governors are appointed to ensure that objectives are met and that planning for the future is both aspiring and realistic. We are here to support and encourage our Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team and all school personnel so that pupils have access to an enriched education and the opportunities they deserve.

The Governing Body strongly supports the Head Teacher, her leadership team, and all the staff in delivering an inclusive environment at the school that takes into account the needs of all pupils, the community, and church values. Key goals we have are to continue to ensure the school makes progress and ensure all our pupils fulfil their potential. In order to achieve this we also ensure the school has effective financial management processes in place.

Whether you are a pupil, parent, staff member, or from the wider community, a church representative or a general visitor I am sure you will find the information on this website of interest to you.

The views of parents are also important to us so we want to know what parents and carers may feel are the strengths or weaknesses of the school and of any ideas for possible improvement. If you have any questions, or have any suggestions please contact the school office.
