PE and Sport Premium for Primary Schools
What is Sports Premium?
This extra funding is allocated directly to primary headteachers and is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on the provision of P.E. and sport in schools.
Eligible schools
Funding for schools is calculated by the number of primary-aged pupils (aged 5 to 11), as recorded in the annual schools census in January . Funding is allocated through a lump sum for each school and a per-pupil top-up mechanism.
For 2024-2025 we will receive £17,770.
Purpose & Use of Funding
Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this.
Please see spending breakdown below for specific cost details.
An important part of our PE delivery is as a fully participating member of the Newark and District School Sports Association. As a smaller school the sports funding is vital to enable us to subsidise transport to inter school competitions and allow our children to enjoy competition and represent the school.
